Richard Wagner Museum, Festspielhaus and Walk of Wagner

The museum stretches across three buildings: Haus Wahnfried, the representative villa that Wagner lived in with his family from 1874, Siegfried Wagner House and the new museum building. Guided tours of the “Festspielhaus” – September to March. “Walk of Wagner” – all year round. Exhibition “Verstummte Stimmen” (“Silenced Voices”) all year round.

Urwelt-Museum (Primeval World Museum)

Information on the geological history of Upper Franconia. Great fun for kids with a dinosaur garden, dragon basement and bear cave. And with original skeletons from the Mistelgau clay pit near Bayreuth, one of the most important fossil sites in Europe!
